GMLR Residents Welfare Association

(Formerly known as Indian Oil Nagar Welfare Association - IONWA)

IONWA was established in 2012 to address civic issues and improve the quality of life in the Indian Oil Nagar locality. The association has actively engaged with local, state, and central authorities to bring about significant positive changes. With strong support from the community, IONWA has achieved notable milestones, including resolving water contamination issues, introducing Mahanagar Gas facilities, and constructing a Foot Over Bridge.

Further accomplishments include installing traffic signals, speed breakers, renovating Ashok Kamte Garden, and widening the GMLR Highway. The association also organizes Aadhar camps, yoga classes, and health check-ups, while fostering community spirit through Independence Day and Republic Day celebrations. Additionally, IONWA facilitates senior citizens’ interactions with police authorities to ensure safety and security. These initiatives have collectively created a safer, healthier, and more vibrant community in Indian Oil Nagar.
